Pakistan

Pakistan acknowledges the negative effects of high population growth on its development.

Pakistan has made its FP2030 Commitments in line with its national goals agreed upon under the composite coverage index (CCI) recommendations and the targets set for the National Action Plan to strengthen family planning focus fully following the eight key CCI recommended areas. Given due consideration that Population is a cross-cutting issue, which has its linkages with the most important issues relating to poverty, health, illiteracy, environment, climate change, economic instability, etc, the government of Pakistan has developed a New National Narrative with its theme to adopt the middle of the Course “Tawazin” and decide the family size according to the resources, enabling to fulfill the fundamental rights of all.
