By making a commitment to FP2030, you will join a global community of leaders, experts, advocates, and implementers who are working together to address the most challenging barriers to expanding access to modern contraceptives.</li>
<li>Internal accountability and global transparency. 
A commitment to FP2030 is a commitment to prioritizing both internal and external accountability to ensure progress against commitments and our collective vision.</li>
<li>Ability to partner with other like-minded donors, governments, and implementing organizations in the family planning sector and beyond. 
All commitments are also made in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Every Woman Every Child (EWEC) Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s, and Adolescents’ Health.</li>

Donors encompassing donor governments, foundations, multilateral institutions, and more approach investment in family planning in a multitude of ways and for a variety of reasons, depending on their foreign policy and international development strategies.

State a baseline representing the donor’s current annual investment in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and within that framework, family planning specifically
Clearly articulate the amount and expected time period for which the donor is committing to funding for sexual and reproductive rights, and whether the financial commitment represents sustained funding at existing levels or new and/or additional SRHR funding
Specify whether the new and/or additional funding represents an annual amount or an amount over a specified period of time, and if so, what that time period is.
Specify the priority or targeted countries and whether the commitment is focused on priority populations or program areas.

SMART and Accountable Content

To reflect the importance of a rights-based, country-led, country-owned process, partner governments have been asked to make commitments in support of the future of the partnership in-country.
Based on the goals of their commitment and organizational priorities, all other organizations, including donors, are highly encouraged to explore opportunities to both develop and announce commitments in tandem with partner governments and global stakeholders.

An Inclusive and Transparent Process for Development, Implementation, and Accountability

All commitments will be considered in support of the Untied Nation’s Every Woman Every Child Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health.
Commitments should also build, to the extent possible, on commitments made during the recent 25th anniversary commemoration of the International Conference on Population and Development.
If financial commitments go beyond bilateral assistance, it would be helpful to know what additional amounts are committed in support of multilateral organizations (the United Nations Population Fund, World Bank, etc.) with a goal of promoting or advancing SRHR, and within it, family planning.
